Vietnam Vets recognized with Honor Flight to Memorial

Publisher’s note:  Dateline August 2, 2013; a long overdue welcoming event to be sure, however, much appreciated by all.  On that day, over 100 veterans of the Vietnam War were greeted with a warm reception at Ronald Reagan International Airport as they deplaned from the first Honor Flight Mission for veterans of that war for the drive to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C.

On a personal note, I am stunned that this mission went relatively unmentioned in the press, and I only heard of it today…Sunday, April 16, 2014.  I am never the less honored to repost this very short video documenting this event.  Kudos to Stripes Channel and Producer Carlos Bongioanni for putting this together.
