GOP Censures McCain

Written by Fox News on . Posted in Politics

Publisher's note:  I have many friends that do not agree with me on this subject; however, I have written about it ad nauseum.  I understand the reasons for the REC's and those that have simply registered as republicans across America to always support a GOP candidate; however, the party of conservatives has let the rank and file down, and John McCain is a perfect example of just how badly.

I don't live in Arizona and I've never even visited there; however, I have to believe that the Republican Party of AZ has been holding back some really good people since, "we need John/Jane to run because he/she can get elected."  Every time I hear that phrase, I want to hurl.  No matter how bad a candidate might be, if he or she has an R after their name and "can get elected," that's good enough for the party bosses in the back rooms across America. God only knows, we have a few in Florida.

And that is why I believe the GOP is getting their butts handed to them.  Quality doesn't matter anymore, only electability.  It's one of the main reasons that I resigned from my REC.

Fox News:  PHOENIX –  The Arizona Republican Party formally censured Sen. John McCain on Saturday, citing a voting record they say is insufficiently conservative.

The resolution to censure McCain was approved by a voice-vote during a meeting of state committee members in Tempe, state party spokesman Tim Sifert said. It needed signatures from at least 20 percent of state committee members to reach the floor for debate.

Sifert said no further action was expected.

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers declined to comment on the censure.

McCain isn't up for re-election until 2016, when will turn 80. He announced in October that he was considering running for a sixth term.

According to the resolution, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee has campaigned as a conservative but has lent his support to issues "associated with liberal Democrats," such as immigration reform and to funding the law sometimes known as Obamacare.

Several Republican county committees recently censured McCain.

Another Republican attacked by media

Written by Fox News on . Posted in Politics

Publisher’s note:  Someone help me out here.  Just as the dog and pony show surrounding Gov. Chris Christie is sort of fading from the headlines, they are starting yet another attack on a Republican; this time for corruption.

How is it that the media chooses these two issues to go after, while taking a blind eye to such stories as CGI Federal being awarded the $678M no-bid contract for the ACA Website debacle, or CBRE being allowed to handle the very lucrative sales of a bunch of Post Offices, not to mention the innumerable crimes committed by President Obama and his regime?

Let’s see, maybe because a certain top executive at CGI by the name of Toni Townes-Whitley is an old schoolmate of Michelle Obama: and could it be that because Richard Blum, Sen. Feinstein’s husband chairs CBRE, they got their cushy deal?

I guess it’s true, the party/agenda that controls the media, controls the coverage.

Fox News:  RICHMOND, Va. –  Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife have been indicted on federal corruption charges.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the U.S. Justice Department, says McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, were indicted Tuesday. The 14-count indictment includes conspiracy, wire fraud and other charges.

McDonnell left office earlier this month after four years in the governor's office. Virginia law limits governors to a single term.

A federal investigation overshadowed the final months in office for this once-rising star of the Republican Party, with authorities looking into gifts he and his family received from a political donor.

US Law trumps his pen!

Written by Fox News on . Posted in Politics

Publisher's note:  I'm serious about the headline, and I'm fed up!  Is there no end to this man’s abuses of power, or his out and out lies?!  Has he not broken enough laws yet, or trashed the US Constitution sufficiently?!  How is it that he is not made to answer for anything; not Fast and Furious, not Benghazi, not what happened to our Seals...NOTHING?!

Since taking office, he has increased our National Debt, (currently over $100T when the unfunded entitlements and mandates are factored in) by about $7T, and nothing is being done to slow the out of control spending; and that doesn't seem to bother anyone?!

Our government is spying on us more than ever; attacking law abiding Americans that dare challenge him with the IRS; aiding, funding, and arming our enemies, while simultaneously trying to disarm We The People is over-looked?!

Attempting to force most Americans to buy a product that no one asked for, wants, or can afford, under penalty of a fine, while granting hand-picked exemptions to his political allies, himself, and the whole of Congress?!  And no one who can do anything, is doing anything; not the Congress, not SCOTUS, and not the military.

But he has a pen?!  Well, Mr. President, we have laws, and they cannot be ignored by your pen!

Fox News:  With his newly announced overhaul of National Security Agency surveillance activities, President Obama has once again hit a nerve with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle.

The president, as he often does when facing a nettlesome problem, used his executive powers to implement changes. In his address on Friday, Obama said he's approved a "new presidential directive for our signals intelligence activities both at home and abroad."

The directive, Obama said, would strengthen oversight of intelligence and ensure trade and investment relationships are taken into account when spying. The president also went on to order a transition away from the bulk data collection program in its current form -- and restrict the ability of analysts to access that database during the transition.

Some House Democrats said executive actions alone were not enough.

"It is now time for Congress to take the next step by enacting legislation to appropriately limit these programs," Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va., said in a statement, adding that Congress must "trust but codify" when it comes to the president's promises.

"Executive Branch overreach in the name of national security did not start -- and will not end -- with this administration," New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler said in a written statement. "The balance of powers enumerated in the Constitution must be respected for generations to come, regardless of who occupies the White House."

Candidate Obama, "...energy prices will necessarily skyrocket."

Written by Fox News on . Posted in Politics

Publisher's note:  Back in 2008, when the only thing people cared about was that a mostly black guy was running for president, and they didn't bother to listen to what he had to say; then candidate Obama infamously stated, "...under my plan, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."  If they did hear the comment, they might have figured, "oh well, it's worth a few extra bucks to have a black guy in office," or something like that.  What they didn't and don't understand is that it's not just a 'few extra bucks' for electricity...it's a LOT of extra bucks for electricity and energy.  Which means, it's a lot of extra money for everything; food, clothing, housing, gasoline, heating and cooling, EVERYTHING!  Everything that is except yours and my pocket.

Now that he is comfortably seated in his second term, he and his administration have for a while been steadily closing in on fulfilling that 'promise' by attacking the coal industry via over regulation designed to put them out of business.   Couple this burden with the already back breaking costs and/or fines of Obama Care, and it is clear that he will accomplish what our enemies have failed to do since our inception....DESTROY OUR NATION.

Fox News:  Far below the Appalachian Mountains, in a space barely big enough to stand up straight, Bobby Combs works a job his father and his grandfather worked.

Coal-mining is the highest-paying job available to him in eastern Kentucky. As he skillfully maneuvers a massive machine and rips into a seam of coal, though, Combs wonders if the family tradition ends with him.

"It's not looking good," he says, dirt smudging his face.

Coal has come under the crosshairs of the Obama administration in the push to transition to renewable energy sources. Coal mines are burdened with a never-ending stream of federal regulations.

The owner of the mine where Combs works said the cost of getting coal out of the ground has tripled. For him, that means job insecurity.

"It seems like everything on the coal industry is under siege, everything is under attack," he said.

Many miners, particularly in Appalachia, have labeled the administration's policies the War on Coal. "I just believe the Obama administration has taken a huge impact on the coal industry and Appalachia. Anymore, you just never know from day to day if you are going to have a job or not," said miner Phillip Conley.

When he was a candidate, President Obama made it clear he was not a friend to coal. In 2008, he told the editorial board at the San Francisco Chronicle: "If somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all the greenhouse gas that's being emitted."

Bridging Christie to the private sector

Written by Craig Andresen on . Posted in Politics

Publisher's note:  The headlines read that a traffic jam in NJ could ruin the political career of Governor Chris Christie.  In this very clear and concise article, Craig Andresen points out what we all know and are thinking...what a bunch of distracting hogwash!

Craig is no more a fan of Gov. Christie than I am, but a traffic jam is what could do a political career in?!  How can that be in light of the abundance of transgressions perpetrated by the POTUS?

Very simply put, the media gives a total pass to POTUS's Administration on BENGHAZI, Fast and Furious, the IRS attacking conservative groups, aiding, abetting, and financing our enemies while trashing our allies.  The abuses of power, trashing of the US Constitution, and so many more breaches of trust are routinely swept under the rug, but a traffic jam in NJ can cause careers to be ruined and heads to roll.

Like I said, I'm no fan of Gov. Christie, but this could not be more upside down.

Craig Andresen:  Regardless of WHO was behind it and, regardless of WHY…

The great New Jersey Bridge Scandal of 2013-2014 was meant to do one thing and one thing only.  Ruin Chris Christie!

Let’s get one thing straight…I am not a fan of the RINO. No fan at all and, regardless of what I believe about Christie and his support of things liberal, Muslim and borderline socialistic…His love affair with the GOP and the way the GOP has embraced him and all but bestowed upon him the 2016 nomination…

There is something I do NOT believe and that, is that Chris Christie had any prior knowledge of the closure of lanes on the George Washington Bridge last September and I have even less belief that those closures had one single thing to do with “revenge” over a Mayor who wouldn’t endorse him in his second campaign for the Governorship of New Jersey.

The guy won and won in a landslide.  Chris Christie had no need of the endorsement from the Mayor of Ft. Lee.

None whatsoever.
