Publisher's note:  In yet another display of how weak the United States is perceived around the world, Iran is sending warships to our maritime borders to "send us a message."  Simply put, they only dare to do so because of the lack of leadership in America and the certainly that their actions will go unpunished by an administration that continually placates our enemies and ignores all belligerent actions against us.  

Fox News:  A senior Iranian naval commander says his country has sent several warships to the Atlantic Ocean, close to U.S. maritime borders for the first time.

The commander of Iran's Northern Navy Fleet, Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad, is quoted by the official IRNA news agency as saying Saturday that the vessels have already begun the journey to the Atlantic Ocean via waters near South Africa.

"Iran's military fleet is approaching the United States' maritime borders, and this move has a message," Haddad reportedly said, according to Fars, a semi-official Iranian news agency.

Publisher's note:  When is enough going to be enough?! Todd Starnes reports on an outrage at Fort Collins High School in Colorado.  It seems some of the students requested a special day to celebrate America and were denied several times by school officials so as not to offend any non-Americans at the school; in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!  

As Todd points out, one of the parents stated, “I can’t even tell you how it got our blood boiling."  My question to that parent and every other concerned American is this; is your blood boiling enough to finally get up and do something about what's happening in this country?!

I'm reminded of something that Teddy Roosevelt wrote in a letter many years ago.  

"We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.

But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn’t doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.” 

What a difference illegal immigration would be if he were still around.

Fox News:  Students and parents at a Colorado high school are outraged after administrators turned down their request for a spirit week day honoring America because it might offend non-Americans.

“They said they didn’t want to offend anyone from other countries or immigrants,” a 16-year-old member of the student council told me. “They just really did not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable.”

The student council at Fort Collins High School had proposed having a day to celebrate the United States during next week’s Winter Spirit Week. The young people pitched “’Merica Monday” – and invited their classmates to dress in patriotic colors. Their proposal was promptly shot down by administrators.

“They said they didn’t want to be exclusive to any other country,” a 17-year-old member of the student council told me.

The students and parents who talked to me about this incident have asked to remain anonymous. The parents feared their children might face reprisals from liberal educators.

“It’s bizarre and idiotic that we’ve come to this crossroads in our society that we are having to sacrifice our own culture and belief system,” one of the parents told me. “I can’t even tell you how it got our blood boiling.”

Publisher's note:  Not that I’m really surprised given the increasingly moral decay and erosion of the planet, however in a direct assault on conservative/Christian sensibilities, CBS decided to slap the over-whelming majority of its potential viewers in the face by turning the Grammy Awards ceremony into a political side show, and conducted a combined gay/straight mass wedding on stage officiated by the high priestess of ‘big gay’ and everything liberal herself, Dana Owens, (aka Queen Latifa).   

What “assault” you ask?!  How about the rap lyric from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis; “…but we paraphrase a book written 3500 years ago."  Excuse me, but that “book” is the written Word of God, and it is not to be taken lightly. 

Naturally, the left is celebrating this as a complete victory for their side.  The L.A. Times wasted not a moment to post this headline by Robin Abcarian; “Give up, gay marriage haters: Grammys mass wedding proves you've lost.”

Sorry to pop your bubble Robin, but a bunch of liberals dancing, weeping, and celebrating an event that most Americans don’t approve of doesn’t prove a thing except that you are hell bent on ramming your agenda down our throats.

Fox News:  This year, the Grammy Awards weren't just about the music, they were also about making a statement in the same-sex marriage debate.

Heavily hyped in the hours leading up to Sunday night's show, 34 couples -- both gay and straight -- exchanged rings and said "I do," as officiated on stage by Queen Latifah. The actress/rapper/talk show host was recently deputized by Los Angeles County to legally conduct wedding ceremonies and will sign the marriage certificates for each couple.

The event took place on a stage set to resemble a giant chapel with stained-glass windows during a performance by hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, in which they sang their hit tune "Same Love," a song embraced by the LGBT community last year.

Publisher's note:  America's Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, sends a clear message to inmates.  Respect America and her flag, or plan on a very lean diet.  

Over three dozen inmates in Maricopa County apparently did not receive the memo regarding not to mess with the Sheriff and decided it would be a good idea to deface and otherwise desecrate the American Flags hanging in their cells.  The penalty for their 'fun' is a seven day diet of bread and water, and an additional ten days for a second offense.

Once again, The Patriots Press salutes "America's Sheriff."  

Fox News:  Dozens of inmates in Arizona jails have been put on a diet of bread and water for desecrating U.S. flags that hang in their cells, Reuters reports.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, of Maricopa County, told the news agency that 38 inmates in six different jails were getting meals of bread and water twice daily – the punishment for destroying government property while in custody.

“These inmates have destroyed the American flag that was placed in their cells. Tearing them, writing on them, stepping on them, throwing them in the toilet, trash or wherever they feel,” Arpaio said in a statement. “It's a disgrace to those who have fought for our country.”

Arpaio said the punishment will last seven days; a second offense would bring 10 additional days of the bread-and-water diet.
